Just when I thought I'd seen the worst...Tuesday totalled four postponements on a day where every team was ending a two game series.
I've tried to find the record for most postponements in an MLB season, but the closest I could come is discovering that 50 postponements in 2004 is the highest number in a season since 2000, excluding the week lost following the 9/11 attacks. Tuesday's four postponements increased this season's total to 30 games. That's nine more than all of last season.
The nine members that still have one of the eight teams that did not play Tuesday selected as their team for Tuesday need to use the "Change Postponed Pick" link to select a new game that will be completed in the next three days or face an automatic incorrect pick. Fortunately, Toronto-Detroit was the only game which didn't see a single pick for Tuesday, lessening the blow of the postponements. |
