Who is the Commissioner? |
|
My name is Jay Soester, I'm 23 years old as I type this and have been running detailed fantasy leagues and/or sim leagues since I was 12 years old.
I started out using geocities to make league websites before teaching myself HTML shortly after I turned 16. I've owned www.theasfl.com since October 14th, 2003 and its lasted through two other sim leagues, the American Simulation Football League (the original ASFL) and the American Baseball League. Each league lasted 6+ seasons with the ASFL coming to an end when I started college (it ran from January 2, 2002 to August 27, 2004) and the ABL coming to an end once I reached upper level college courses (it ran from May 2, 2005 to July 27, 2007). Both leagues required slightly more of my time than ASFL2 does. I know the ropes.
I'm from South Florida (Coral Springs to be exact) and hope to turn the league into something that can allow me to run it for the foreseeable future. That'll ultimately mean generating enough money to pay a few bills and likely running all fantasy games via the league website. Hopefully the league will live to prosper, if I could make this my profession, I'd be quite pleased. Unfortunately, I don't anticipate it happening. |
