http://sportsillustrated.cnn.com/2012/football/nfl/03/28/rule.changes.ap/index.html?eref=sircrcThey're now reviewing all turnovers independent of challenges (a la the way TDs started to be handled last season) and they've changed the regular season OT format to match that of the postseason format (which has yet to actually come into play). Just a small step away from first to six wins....still two good additions. They also closed the loophole that allowed 12 men on the field for the Giants to have no detriment to them at the end of the Super Bowl.

This is a very sad story especially here in Southern California. Listening to Marcellus Wiley on 710 ESPN who was a teammate of Junior's and hearing him tell stories about Junior makes it even sadder. Junior (except for his brief time with Dolphins and Patriots) will always be a Southern California guy. He grew up in Oceanside, played at USC, and then went on to his hometown Chargers. USC was once nicknamed "Linebacker U" becuase of the linebackers that came out of there after Junior Seau.

After driving the car head first off a cliff, the warning signs were kinda there that this guy had some depression issues.

Horrible day for the sport...
Seau was obviously a stand up guy and he couldn't escape the same demons of everyone else who ended up with the same fate from the game in his era and the one(s) prior. Football's definitely starting to feel a stigma that it's going to take decades to get rid of.

Did they adjust it to put time back on the clock or are they going to consider it a simultaneous with the snap dead ball when the defense has 12 men on the field?

I think the show's run its course...not that I've seen any of it.
