I'll kick off the new thread with the Champions League Draw:

    Roma-Shakhtar Donetsk
    AC Milan-Tottenham
    Valencia-Shalke
    Inter Milan-Bayern Münich
    Lyon-Real Madrid
    Arsenal-Barcelona
    Marseille-Manchester United
    Copenhagen-Chelsea

Ridiculous....I'd say the first round is going to knock out three of the top eight or nine teams based on the pairing. Tottenham-AC Milan should be swell, an early rematch of last year's championship will be a let down, Lyon-Real Madrid could be interesting and Arsenal-Barcelona will make me sad. Roma and Valencia or Shalke could make the surprise run.

Except for Man U getting an easy draw as usual I quite enjoyed that:) Liverpool's draw was quite good as well.

Only 2 games played today but don't miss Craig Gordon's save after 45 minutes from Zak Knight. I think Knight's face said it all. He simply couldn't believe it.

That was as much luck as anything, but good positioning and instincts should win out more often than not.

Kolo Toure just picked up 2 yellow cards in a span of about 2 minutes. Nice way to close out a Man City loss

Man C had 33 shots but only 5 on goal. That's ridiculous.

Everton's D blocked at least 10-15 shots. I really only remember 2 or 3 good shots by Man City. Howard made a few saves, but there were a bunch of shanks by Man City

Koscielny did that earlier in the season in the same situation...coaches need to start preaching to spread the professional fouls around.

Yeah I remember that. Vermaelen needs to come back now

2022 world cup might be played in January. That makes a lot of sense. As long as they don't try that in 2018...

I'm surprised FIFPro brought it up, I thought I read FIFA was talking about a non-summer World Cup already. Ian Halloway's reaction was rather Brit-centric.

MLS would be entused- and have reason not to switch their calendar over, in fact that may be the only time it could conceivably make sense for the MLS to switch their calendar would be if the World Cup was in the US over the summer.

As predicted, Rafa was sacked by Inter Milan today. That man has just completely lost the plot.

Arsenal beat Chelsea 3-1. Huge win, and I like the lineup changes Wenger made. At this point, I wouldn't mind a Djourou/Vermaelen pairing come the end of January or Walcott getting some starts over Arshavin

Walcott should definitely play more. Will be interesting if Fabregas and van Persie can both stay healthy

It took far too long to yank Arshavin...he's had far more shit games than good games.

I just want Vermaelen to get back so Wenger can have the problem, I'm sure the short turnaround had something to do with his lineup, unfortunately.
