The marathon is over. The Premier League season began on August 14th, 2010 and ended on May 22nd. That's 282 days. That's one day longer than NASCAR's 2010 season from February 14th to November 21st. Fantasy Premier League also has the distinction of having the most game weeks at 38, one more than Fantasy Golf, and two more than Fantasy NASCAR. John Wright won the marathon this year, breaking the run of Ryan Drizk who won the first two editions of the game. He finished second last season at 3719.5 points, but won the 2010-2011 edition on 3593.5 points. Just like last season, Jay Soester and Mike Miles finished directly behind him, this year that translated into second and third. Wright also came away with the most championship points from the game with 29. Miles (25), Soester (23) and Greg Krause (22) were the only other members to top 20 points this season. The results clinched a Champions League spot next season for John Wright with him guaranteed of earning the most points from Tier 4 games in the 2010-2011 season. The championship points earned via second half points and week wins are available in this message board post. If you'd like to view the game's standings in the in-season format, go here. |
