The results are finally official. Thanks to everyone that participated.

After 533 days of competition, Jay Soester wins the 2011-12 ASFL2 Championship with 831.59 points, a new record. With the season beginning on January 6th, 2010 and ending on June 21st, 2011 it also breaks the record for longest season in league history. Soester becomes the first member to win a second ASFL2 championship.

Soester took control of the standings after dominating Fantasy Football as Russ Goatcher was the only member within ten points of his championship point total. The title was essentially clinched at the end of Fantasy Basketball, which is believed to be a new record. He also managed to win Fantasy Hockey and Fantasy Premier League in route to the championship.

The 2011-2012 season also kept up with the pattern of a blow out victory following a close victory as the 68.22 margin of victory is a new record. In 2010-2011, Mike Miles squaked by Anders Nilsson with the championship not being clinched until the second-to-last game. The year before, Nilsson set the record for largest margin of victory with a 41 point win over Miles. In the inaugural season, Soester squeaked out his first victory by ten points over Miles.

Brad Duff broke the stranglehold Soester, Nilsson & Miles had on the podium in the last two seasons with a second place finish at 763.37 points. Nathan Susanto also nudged his way onto the podium with 751.90 points just 5.03 more than Anders Nilsson in fourth. Brad Wilson rounded out the top five with 734.76 points. Wilson can continue to say he's never finished outside the top five in an ASFL2 season, though this is the first time he didn't finish fourth.

This season's second set of five would have finished in the top five last season based on their point total. Mark Yothers finished sixth despite eclipsing 700 points for his first top ten finish. Aaron Freeman finished seventh with 689.89 points for his second top ten finish, and a new personal best; he's never finished worse than 13th for a season in which he's participated. Russ Goatcher slipped to eighth on bonus points with 100+ points from Fantasy Football guiding his 668.60 point haul; it's also his second top ten finish and a personal best by one spot. Michael Lytle finished ninth at 668.57 points despite missing Fantasy Golf. Robert Flatt rounded out the top ten with 648.96 points, nearly three points more than Matt Humpal in 11th and five more than Robert Boyce in 12th with Dave Berrong less than ten points back in 13th as well. This is Flatt's first top ten to go with two other finishes in the top 17.
