ASFL2 Playoffs Pickem Explanation & Scoring


Explanation

ASFL2 Playoffs Pickem is run through the message board and is the blanket name for four separate competitions. At the end of the regular season of each of the four major sports leagues (MLB, NBA, NFL, NHL) a thread will be posted on the message board asking members to enter the respective leagues competition. A score for the competition will be given based on correct picks in each round and correct series lengths when applicable.

Wild Card Round Pick Correct: 1 Point
Divisional Round Pick Correct: 2 Points
Conference Championship Pick Correct: 4 Points

(2) Most Points Earned from Championship Series
(3) Most Points Earned from Conference Championship Series
(4) Most Points Earned from 2nd Round Series
(5) Least Points Earned from correct series lengths
(6) Person who picked the champion to go farthest
(7) Person who picked the runner-up to go farthest
(8) Person who's picked champion went farthest
(9) Person who's picked runner-up went farthest
(10) Most Bonus Points
(11) Number of correct trivia questions answered in the current ASFL2 season
(12) Highest Post Count
(13) Total Games off correct series lengths between correct picks

**Tiebreakers for NFL Playoff Pickem will be:
(1) Latest correct pick (i.e. Super Bowl correct > Conf. Championship correct, but no Super Bowl correct)
(2) Most correct picks within latest round of correct picks (i.e. Both Conference Championships correct > 1 of 2 correct)
(3) Person who picked the champion to go farthest
(4) Person who picked the runner-up to go farthest
(5) Person who's picked champion went farthest
(6) Person who's picked runner-up went farthest
(7) Most Bonus Points
(8) Number of correct trivia questions answered in the current ASFL2 season
(9) Highest Post Count
(10) Closest to correct Super Bowl score
