ASFL2 Standings Pickem Explanation & Scoring


Explanation

ASFL2 Standings Pickem is run through the message board and is the blanket name for four separate competitions. Prior to the regular season of each of the four major sports leagues (MLB, NBA, NFL, NHL) a thread will be posted on the message board asking members to enter the respective leagues competition. A score for the competition will be given based on correct divisional standings picks, conference standings picks, playoff picks and team records.

All standings pickem competitions require that you use realistic records. The total amount of wins between all of the teams in the league should add up to the total number of regular season games played, same with the losses.

*Tiebreakers for all leagues will be as follows:
(1) Higher number of correct divisional & conference (or league if MLB) placements combined
(2) Higher number of record points (correct records and closeness points combined)
(3) Higher number of correct conference (or league if MLB) placements.
(4) Higher number of playoff points
(5) Higher number of correct record picks
(6) Highest placed correct overall team (combined conferences/leagues by predicted records) through the top 10 teams
(7) Lowest placed correct overall team (reverse of (6), starting with worst team in the league) through the bottom 10 teams
(8) Latest correct pick (i.e. Super Bowl correct > Conf. Championship correct, but no Super Bowl correct)
(9) Most correct picks within latest round of correct picks (i.e. Both Conference Championships correct > 1 of 2 correct)
(10) Higher bonus point total
(11) Higher post count
(12) Higher number of trivia points
