After 525 days of competition, the 2010-2011 season is finally in the books.

Mike Miles used Fantasy Premier League to finally vault over Anders Nilsson by three points after gaining 38 points on him in Fantasy Hockey and Fantasy Basketball. From there, Miles matched or bettered Nilsson's championship points earned in the final six games: NBA Standings Pickem (14-8), NBA Playoffs Pickem (3-0), NHL Standings Pickem (11-11), Overall Standings Pickem (4-2), NHL Playoffs Pickem (2-2) and Overall Playoffs Pickem (3-0). That's 14 points gained for a final margin of victory of 17 points. That margin allows Miles to retain the record for smallest margin of defeat in the inaugural season at ten points.

There were 23 games factored into the 2010-2011 standings plus bonus points. Mikes Miles was the only member to earn at least one championship point in all 23 games for the season. John Wright was the only member to score in 22 of 23 games this season, having missed out in MLB Standings Pickem. Brad Duff, Dave Berrong, Jay Soester and Jeffery Murowsky avoided being shutout in 21 of 23 games, while Anders Nilsson, Brian Secord, Chad Gumm, Kevin Cheek, and Robert Boyce rounded out the list of those to score in at least 20 of 23 games for the season. Out of the 11 names I just mentioned, only Brian Secord in 16th and Kevin Cheek in 19th missed out on qualifying for the 2011-2012 Champions League. The key to success in ASFL2 is consistency and persistence.

This was the second season in a row that Miles and Nilsson finished first and second, though with the order reversed. It was also the second year in a row that Jay Soester rounded out the podium in third place as he and Miles remain the only members in league history to have finished in the top three in each of the league's three seasons. Brad Wilson has finished in fourth place in all three ASFL2 seasons. Nathan Susanto was the only other member in the top ten this season to have finished within the top ten previously as his fifth place finish this year bettered his seventh place finish last season. David Synychak was the only other member in the top ten this season to have completed a full season previously. Given that, Chad Gumm, Dave Berrong, Jeffery Murowsky and Robert Boyce have some work to do to repeat their finish next season.

I'd also like to give some credit to Brad Duff and Greg Krause for finishing with the same point total as David Synychak (516), but finishing in 11th and 12th respectively due to the bonus point tiebreaker.

And I'd also like to acknowledge that Dave Berrong finished in seventh place despite missing Fantasy Golf. He would have had to of finished with the same amount of championship points as the member that earned the 18th most points from the game, but it's certainly conceivable that he would have finished higher than seventh had he not gotten a late start.
