This week sees the first full schedule in a few weeks as the matchups get much better compared to the last two weeks. There are only three games between ranked teams this week, but they're key conference matchups and they are augmented by even matchups involving all of the major conferences, including eight games between unranked teams.
The week begins on Tuesday with Northern Illinois at #20 Toledo. This is a rare week where a MACtion game causes a Tuesday or Wednesday game to be a part of College Football Pickem. The week continues with three games on Thursday, including two ranked teams on the road in conference action. Another ranked team travels on Friday, with #23 Temple at SMU. Saturday sees what could be a full slate for another weekend with 25 games between noon ET and 10:30 PM ET.
Make sure to get your picks in before the scheduled start time of each game.

College Football Pickem Reminder |
11:44 PM ET on 10/7/15 by Jay Soester |
Week 6's allotment of 25 games is now available for College Football Pickem. My apologies for the delay, unfortunately the website's database server has been having issues for the last few nights.
Congrats to Mike Straube for winning week 5 with 1731 points, ten more than George Brady in second. Gianfranco Lintas also cracked the 1700 point mark in third place with 1705. All three, along with Dario Ambrozewiez, Tom Vobejda, and Skip Wilson finished with a pick record of 21-9 for the week. Steve Steffy maintained his overall lead with 8601 points, but Nathan Susanto moved from 82 points back to 71 points back, despite Steffy having best record for the season all to himself at 108-27.
This week is a step down from the conference matchups of last week. There are only two matchups between ranked teams this week, but six matchups between unranked teams. The Big Ten leads the way in interesting matchups, but in my opinion, #23 California at #5 Utah might be the most interesting overall. Please note that due to the floods in South Carolina, the LSU-South Carolina contest is taking place in Baton Rouge despite South Carolina being designated as the home team.
Week 6 begins on Thursday with Washington at #17 USC at 9 PM ET on ESPN. Friday sees the focus shift east to an ACC contest as NC State visits Virginia Tech at 8 PM ET on ESPN. Saturday sees 23 games with the standard time spread of seven noon kickoffs through the sensational nightcap of #23 California at #5 Utah at 10 PM ET on ESPN to finish the night.
Make sure to get your picks in before the scheduled start time of each game.

College Football Pickem Week 5 Reminder |
11:57 PM ET on 9/30/15 by Jay Soester |
Week 5's schedule of 30 games is now available for College Football Pickem.
Congrats to Charles Yelverton for winning week 4 with 1670 points from a 21-4 record. Patrick Cooley (1657) and Chris Wanned (1642) rounded out the podium in close proximity with the same pick record. Steve Steffy (6984) maintained his overall lead with Nathan Susanto moving into second place, 82 points back. Steffy, Susanto and Jay Soester are tied for the best record on the season at 86-19.
We've reached full-on conference matchup mode aside from the odd SEC cupcake and the occasional ACC-AAC clash. The most enjoyable part of the season is about to pick up. With the increased amount of games, there's an uptick in unranked matchups as 13 sets of unranked teams clash this weekend. At the other end of the spectrum, there are five games between ranked teams.
Week 5 starts on Thursday with Miami at Cincinnati at 7:30 PM ET on ESPN, looking to maintain their perfect start to the season. The week continues on Saturday with the usual schedule ranging from eight noon ET games to Fresno State at San Diego State on CBSSN at 10:30 PM ET.
Make sure to get your picks in before the scheduled start time of each game.
