It's even more remarkable that none of his players were on a bye week this week, though he did have Chris Cooley active despite being out injured. Ben Roethlisberger (4), Greg Camarillo (1), LeSean McCoy (1), Felix Jones (0), Matt Prater (5) & Pittsburgh's D (5) made up the rest of his league 7 team. |

• Stephen Schulte was just 3-6 on the season before this week in league 10 while averaging just 76 points per game. All of that was blown out of the water this week in a 125-62 defeat of Bill Isley. It was the third time Schulte topped 100 points and the first time he topped 108 points. His team featured four players with 20 or more points. He could have defeated his opponent with Chris Johnson (30), Brandon Marshall or Kurt Warner (25) and Robbie Gould (8) alone.
• Ken Patton's 88-71 win in league 10 was 58% driven by the services of Donovan McNabb (27) and Reggie Wayne (24). The only other player he had that scored in double digits was Ray Rice (12).
• The average score per game for an ASFL2 team through 10 weeks is 83.27 points.
• Bill Richmond scored 104 points a week after scoring 45 points in league 7. He scored 90 points two weeks ago as well.
• Matthew Hardman scored 83 points this week in league 7 in a close win. It was his second highest total so far on the season. He has yet to top 87 points, but has managed a 4-6 record.
• Floyd Sullivan scored 44 points a week after scoring 49. Prior to last week he had never scored below 70 points and was 3-5 on the season. He's now 3-7 in league 8.
• Nick Alicea has scored 107 or more points in 4 straight weeks. He had only topped 90 points twice prior to the streek. He's now 6-4 on the season in league 9.
• Chris Carter scored 107 points this week in league 9 after scoring 114 total points in the last two weeks combined.
• Christopher Allen scored 97 points this week- one more than double his 48 from last week. He still lost to fall to 1-9 on the season in league 9.
• Ryan Drzik scored 57 points this week in league 10 to end a run of four straight weeks of 108 points or more. He's scored 100+ points six times this season with the other four point totals being 76 or below.
• Last Thursday Dallas' D was credited with one less sack of Donovan McNabb. That gave Bill McConnell one less point for last week slipping him into an 86-86 tie with Ryan Rodebush in league 10.
• Seven members clinches playoff spots this week to go with Steve Campbell's clinching last week. Edgar Lebron (LG1), Mike Miles (LG3), Russ Goatcher (LG5), Ryan Drzik (LG6), Jaime Henck (LG8) & Ken Patton (LG10) all clinched at 9-1 up at least four games (4.5 for Patton) with three games left. Bob Atwood clinched at 8-2 in league 10, up 3.5 games with three left.
• Three new members were eliminated this week to go with the three eliminated last week. Barry Barnett (LG3) is five games behind sixth place in league 3 at 1-9. David Synychak at 2-8 in league 5 is four games behind sixth place. And Christopher Allen is four games behind sixth place with three to play in league 9.
• Six leagues (1,2,4,8,9 & 10) feature sixth place teams at 5-5. The other four leagues have sixth place teams with a 6-4 record.
• Two leagues have a seventh place team at 4-5-1 (league 2 & league 10) the others have a seventh place team with five wins and five losses.
• Without looking at matchups and without assuming there is a limit to the amount of points a team can make up on another team in the event of a tie, 15 new teams can clinch next week. Two teams in league 1, one in league 2, one in league 3, three in league 4, four in league 6, two in league 7, & one in league 8 can clinch playoff spots next week. Any team with a record two games better than seventh place can mathematically clinch.
• Again without looking at anything other than records, One team in league 1, four in league 3, one in league 4, four in league 5, five in league 6, six in league 7, three in league 8, one in league 9 and two in league 10 can be eliminated next week. Any team with a record two games worse than sixth place can mathematically be eliminated. Only league 2 has all teams safe for another week.
• 78 ASFL2 teams are within a game of .500, that's 60.9% and a 22 team increase from last week.

Heading into SNF, Maher lead 75-71 for inside track to his first win of the season as he had Willis McGahee and Derrick Mason to play on MNF with Dipinto having Austin Collie and Stephen Gostkowski to play on SNF. Collie was kept out of the endzone and away from the big plays while Gostkowski managed ten points to give Dipinto a ten point lead over Maher heading into MNF. With two Ravens up against the hapless Browns it seemed as though Maher was in good shape for his first victory despite their being lower scoring Ravens. If Baltimore jumped out early McGahee was sure to be used to kill the clock and rest Ray Rice, but unfortunately for Maher, things were scoreless through the first half when Maher was down 85-78 thanks to 37 receiving yards from Derrick Mason. He got four more points quickly after halftime thanks to a 41 yard catch from Mason, but those would be his last points of the night from Mason who came up 2 yards short of tying the game. McGahee finally mustered two points for Maher in the fourth quarter, but it was too little too late as he was 10 yards away from tying the game. Dipinto moves to 5-5 on the season.

Heading into SNF, Reber led 89-26 and looked in strong position for his first victory of the season. Temple needed 64 points (246% of his total at the time) from just Tom Brady, Stephen Gostkowski and Baltimore's defense to win. Delving into the situation it became clear 54 points weren't impossible when Tom Brady is playing against the Colts in a dome and the Ravens are going up against the hapless Browns. The first period started off slowly, but once the Patriots offense took off in the second quarter it became obvious the Ravens D would decide the contest. With Brady & Gostkowski accounting for 40 of the 64 points it was still a tall order. The defense was likely to need at least one TD and a shutout to have a chance. It was obvious from the start the Browns offense was capable of getting shut out, but when the Ravens returned an INT for a TD in the third quarter Temple was three points away from the win provided they kept the shutout. When Brady Quinn was picked off six Browns offensive plays later it seemed a lock the Ravens had just won the game for Temple and they had.

Synychak trailed Masse 83-70 heading into MNF, but had Ray Rice left against the Browns notorious run defense. With only the Bills giving up more rushing yards per game this season and only three teams giving up more rushing TDs, the odds were heavily in Synychak's favor. The biggest drawback to Rice winning the contest was his battling for carries with Willis McGahee and Le'Ron McLain. Had he added the yards of McGahee to his total he would have led Synychak to a one point win, instead he was a yard shy (89 yards rushing) of tying things up. On the Ravens final drive Rice ran for 12 yards on three runs before McGahee ran for 14 on six carries.

Heading into SNF Campbell led 56-52, but only had Reggie Wayne to go against Dallas Clark, Matt Stover, Ray Rice & Derrick Mason for Harris. Wayne holding all four of his opponent's players off wasn't likely, but not unfathomable, particularly if he took all of Peyton Manning's TDs away from Clark. Clark did manage 65 yards in the game, but Wayne doubled his fantasy point total with his yardage and managed two TDs in the process including the resulting TD from Belichick's gamble. With SNF in the books Campbell led 80-63, but 17 points didn't seem like enough of a cushion with Ray Rice going up against the Browns' defense. It appeared as though Campbell would survive to remain unbeaten early, but Rice's TD run signaled the inevitable with the lead finally Harris' with 11 minutes left in the game after a Ray Rice 7 yard catch.

Heading into SNF Whorton trailed 50-43 with Gostkowski left against Todd Heap for Rossetti. Two field goals and four extra points put Whorton in decent shape for at least a tie. Todd Heap came into the game averaging 40 yards per game with two straight games under three points and no TDs since week 2, but the odds failed him as Heap's 8 yard catch midway through the third quarter gave him 43 receiving yards and won it for Rossetti.

The line was Cushaway 55, Galvano 49 heading into SNF with Galvano having Joseph Addai up against the Colts D and Todd Heap. When Addai scored the opening touchdown of the game Sunday night, Galvano had to feel confident especially after the second quarter when the Patriots had done just enough damage to the defense, but the offense wasn't requiring a forget about the run mentality. When the dust of SNF settled, Galvano led 65-62 with just Heap to go for Cushaway Jr. As I mentioned in the previous nominee, Galvano looked good for at least a tie, but Heap pulled out just enough for the Cushaway win.

Honorable Mention |
•Anders Nilsson 103, Jason Hurst 88 (LG8)- Notable only because it was the only game I saw at a quick glance with Peyton Manning (Nilsson) against Tom Brady (Hurst). The higher QB total managed to win the game as well.
•Ryan Rodebush 94, Ronny Funderburk 77 (LG10)- I take that back, I found another instance this time with Tom Brady winning.
•Ben True 87, Jay Soester 82 (LG1)- Soester needed Rice to crack the endzone one more time on MNF for the victory.
•Mike Dipinto 95, Matt Burton 89 (LG4)- Burton also needed Rice to score another TD for the victory when combined with a Steven Hauschka PAT.
