2011-2012 Keeper Leagues Championship
11:00 PM ET on 9/6/12 by Jay Soester
The results for Fantasy Basketball bring an end to the 2011-2012 Keeper Leagues Championship. I apologize for the delay, there was a problem getting the roto data for the Third Division and I spent some time trying to pull a rabbit out of a hat before ultimately having to give up. Unfortunately, the fix was each Third Division member earning 17 points as their roto total.

Anders Nilsson is this season's winner at 888 points, 11 more than Brad Wilson in second place. Jay Soester finished third with 794 points with David Synychak (770) and Matt Humpal (761) rounding out the top five. Wilson managed to finish second overall despite being a part of the Second Division in Fantasy Football this season; Humpal cracked the top five with the same distinction. Nilsson's total was 31 points lower than Mike Miles' winning mark last season.

Nilsson finished within the top four in points for each game, with two wins, to earn the championship, but he finished second (.953) to Brad Wilson (.993) for the best ratio of anyone in all four games. Wilson was tops in two games and second in his division for the other two. Chad Gumm was third in ratio at .934; he finished seventh overall despite being in the Second Division of three games. Robert Flatt also cracked the top ten despite being in three Second Divisions. Tyson Hester was the best overall finisher of those in at least one Third Division at 13th despite being in two.

I've begun work setting up the Keeper Leagues Fantasy Basketball drafts and bid system. Watch the website for more information.

2010-2011 Keeper Leagues Championship
2:22 AM ET on 4/28/11 by Jay Soester
With the results of Fantasy Hockey, the 2010-2011 Keeper Leagues Championship has come to an end. Mike Miles won for the second season in a row with 919 points, 80 more than Anders Nilsson in second place, 85 more than David Synychak in third place and over 100 [112] more than Brad Wilson in fourth place. Jeff Mazurek rounded out the top five, 151 points behind Miles.

Miles had the most championship points in three of four sports with Fantasy Football being the lone exception. That feat propelled him to the highest ratio value at 0.994. Dave Berrong had the second best total at 0.975 with Anders Nilsson (0.970), Nathan Susanto (0.956) and Jeff Mazurek (0.937) rounding out the top five.

Keeper Leagues Basketball Results
3:52 AM ET on 4/25/11 by Jay Soester
The Standings Assignment has progressed to where I've been able to set up the Keeper Leagues Fantasy Basketball standings pages with the final results and resulting member movement.

I've also updated the overall Keeper Leagues championship standings to reflect points earned from the Fantasy Basketball results. On the overall standings page, I've included a new statistic which I call "Ratio". A member's ratio is the amount of championship points earned compared to the most points earned by someone in their division for a particular sport. To calculate a member's ratio across all four sports, the member's ratio from each game is added up and divided by the number of games they participated in. The new statistic is designed to measure each member's season independent of their ability to earn a promotion prior to this season. The current top two are to be expected, but third place Dave Berrong managed to rank that high despite not having a single team above the Third Division in any sport.

2009-2010 ASFL2 Keeper Leagues Final Results
9:09 PM ET on 4/15/10 by Jay Soester
With Fantasy Basketball's conclusion the final championship standings were determined and the inaugural winner is Mike Miles with 871 points. He edged out Jay Soester by four points after Jay edged him out by ten for the inaugural ASFL2 championship last season. Miles clinched the victory by advancing to the Fantasy Hockey championship game despite losing it. Ultimately, Miles credited the victory to advancing to the Fantasy Basketball playoffs in the final week of the regular season while Soester credits his downfall to Carlos Beltran's injury last summer and falling four regular season places in the final week of Fantasy Baseball. Let that be a lesson to all that every point can matter in any ASFL2 competition throughout the year.

Third place also came down to the end as Brad Wilson finishes on the podium via tiebreaker thanks to Kevin Whorton losing to Mike Miles in the Fantasy Basketball Premier Division third place game despite Wilson's losing to Jay Soester in the Fantasy Basketball Premier Division championship. Both finished on 814 points for the season. Matt Humpal finished fifth with 789 points. Colt Ciccone gets the award for lower division member of the year with an overall finish of 14th at 679 points despite participating in the Second Division of all four sports.

The coming season will see a bit of a tweak to the championship point scoring system to prepare for the possibility of a Fifth Division and to try to slightly improve the chances for a podium finish of someone participating in a single Second Division to compete with those who are in all four Premier Divisions.

The coming weeks will see the drafts put together for Fantasy Football, Fantasy Hockey & Fantasy Basketball to allow for members to designate their keeper players.
