Congrats to Steve Wilken for winning the 2012-2013 edition of MLB Playoffs Pickem with 24 points. Katie Tropp & Steve Steffy rounded out the top three at 22 points. The top three were each one of the eight members to correctly pick the Giants to win the World Series and earn 0.5 extra championship points for it. Skip Wilson was the highest ranking participant to not pick the Giants in fourth. He also earned 0.5 extra championship points for having the most correct picks with eight. He was also one of the six members to earn 0.5 extra championship points for correctly predicting three series lengths.
The was the first part of my attempt to put a dent in what's fallen behind. Hopefully more progress will be made in short order.
The 2012-2013 championship standings are now updated with the results. Jay Soester expanded his lead to 36.32 points from 29.09 points with Brad Wilson still in second place. Nathan Susanto jumped into third ahead of Brad Duff while Steve Steffy did the same of Anders Nilsson into fifth place. Michael Lytle was the only new member in the top ten as he nudged out Dario Ambrozewiez for the final spot.

The deadline for entries is 5 PM ET on Friday, October 5th.

Jeffery Murowsky won Overall Playoffs Pickem with 82 points combined from MLB, NBA, NFL & NHL Playoffs Pickem, two more than Greg Krause with Tom Vobejda, Nathan Susanto & Matthew Hardman rounding out the top five. Murowsky earns the five championship points that go along with the honor while the other 20 members to finish in the top quarter of all 84 to participate in at least one playoffs pickem game also earned championship points for their finish.
The 2011-2012 championship standings are now updated with the results. Greg Krause's move from 16th to 15th was the highest change in ranks on the standings. John Wright jumped into the top 25 as well. Only Overall Standings Pickem remains before bonus points.

Congrats to Tyson Hester for winning MLB Playoffs Pickem with 18 points. He was the only member to correctly predict a Cardinals-Rangers World Series. None of the 52 members picked the Cardinals to make the World Series while only four had them reaching the NLCS. Robert Boyce earned the most championship points from second place at 16 points thanks in large part to a perfect set of LDS picks and series lengths. He and Hester both earned the bonus 0.5 championship points for having the most correct picks (5) while Boyce was the only member to have four series lengths correct. Aaron Freeman was alone in third place with 14 points while Andrew Maher, Jay Soester & Mark Yothers tied for fourth at 13 points.
You'll notice that, unlike other ASFL2 games, a tie wasn't broken. With the new scoring system guaranteeing a difference in points between all members based on their rank, I've elected to not break ties beyond the fifth tiebreaker for all editions of Playoffs Pickem. This eliminates the possibility where two members with the same game point total can have a championship point total with a difference of two or three points as could have been the case from about 27th place on in MLB Playoffs Pickem.
The overall championship standings page is now updated to reflect the results. The projected standings are being worked on.

The twelfth fantasy game to be featured on the league website is now available. MLB Playoffs Pickem is the tenth official game to be featured on the league website as part of tier 5. It was the final, official game that needed to be moved over from the message board. In order to participate, go to the game page and sign up for the game before submitting your entry. The playoff bracket won't be set until Sunday afternoon unless the Padres or Braves force a one game playoff on Monday.
The deadline for entries is October 6th at 1:35 PM ET.
