Fantasy Formula 1 - Brazilian GP Preview |
4:11 PM ET on 11/9/15 by Nathan Susanto |
The 2015 Formula 1 season reaches its penultimate event,
with the Brazilian GP taking place this weekend. Lewis
Hamilton might have stormed to the title but Mercedes teammate
Nico Rosberg came out on top last time out by securing the
Mexican GP after a strong weekend. Rosberg will hope his
success continues at Interlagos, a venue which brought him
fond memories 12 months ago.
Nico Rosberg claimed pole at Interlagos in 2014 by a
narrow margin and it was nip and tuck between him and
Lewis Hamilton on race day. Rosberg held the slight
advantage but when the leader pitted for a second time
Hamilton saw an opportunity to up the pace. However, on
lap 28 Hamilton pushed too hard and spun off, handing the
advantage back to Rosberg. Hamilton reeled the lead Silver
Arrow in but couldn't deny Rosberg victory. Felipe Massa
was a distant third.
Remember to make your game picks in the 2015 Fantasy Formula 1 thread
before the deadline of Saturday, November 14th at 11 AM
ET, when qualifying begins. Here we run down some
Brazilian GP facts and season stats.

Premier League Week 12 Preview |
1:55 PM ET on 11/6/15 by Nathan Susanto |
Congrats to Jay Soester and Brad Duff for earning
top-billing in week 11 of Premier League Pickem with 28 points. Nathan
Susanto was one point adrift in third, while Skip Wilson,
Mark Yothers and Jeremy Fritsch tied on 25 points in equal
fourth. Soester selected the most correct picks (8), while
nine participants predicted one perfect game.
There was a strong showing from the participants in week
11, with its average per pick made of 2.322 points ranking
it second this season. Every participant backed Manchester
City to defeat Norwich and the league leaders came through
with a 2-1 victory. However, Bournemouth at Southampton
produced the greatest yield of the week, with the fixture
giving up a 1.92 points average. The West Ham at Watford
fixture had the lowest points average of the week (0.22)
and only two participants predicted Watford's shock
triumph.
Andrew Maher maintained his 21-point lead at the top of
the overall standings. With 11 weeks gone, Maher (257) leads
Skip Wilson and Dario Ambrozewiez (both 236), while Steve
Steffy and Mark Yothers (both 227) are tied in fourth
place.
Week 12's slate includes the North London derby between
Arsenal and Tottenham, while top meets bottom as
Manchester City visit Aston Villa.

Premier League Week 11 Preview |
2:48 PM ET on 10/30/15 by Nathan Susanto |
Congrats to Charles Yelverton on top-scoring in
Premier League Pickem in week 10. Yelverton notched 34 points, the second best
score of the season, while Brad Duff earned the runners-up
spot with 27 points. Fred Lasso (25), Andy Nemecek and
Nathan Susanto (both 24) rounded out the top 5. Yelverton
and Duff made the most correct picks (7), while Yelverton
excelled with the most perfect games (4).
It was a decent week for the participants, with week 10's
average per pick made of 2.044 ranking fifth for the term.
Participants were unanimous in their backing of Tottenham
and Spurs recorded a 5-1 victory over Bournemouth.
However, the fixture that yielded the highest points
average was Everton at Arsenal. The Gunners won 2-1 and
that led to a 2.36 points average. Meanwhile, no
participant predicted a Watford victory and the Hornets
shocked Stoke to win 2-0. This resulted in the lowest
points average of the week, 0.03, the joint-second lowest
of the season.
Andrew Maher still occupies top spot of the overall standings with a quarter of the season in the books.
Maher (234) leads Dario Ambrozewiez (213) by 21 points,
with Skip Wilson (211) just two points further back. Steve
Steffy (206) and George Brady (204) complete the top 5.
Maher has gained the most correct picks (50) and perfect
games (16).
Arguably the most intriguing matchup this weekend kicks
off week 11's slate; Liverpool, led by Jürgen Klopp, the
self-proclaimed "Normal One", clashes with Chelsea, who
has the self-styled "Special One" José Mourinho at the
helm.
Remember to make your Premier League Pickem predictions before the deadline of
each game. Week 11's schedule starts on Saturday with a 8:45 AM ET
kickoff. There are then six 11 AM ET games. Sunday has two
fixtures; the first beginning at 8:30 AM ET, while the
second starts at 11 AM ET. The week concludes on Monday
with a 3 PM ET matchup.
Here we preview the ten games in the upcoming week of the
English Premier League.

On Sunday, Lewis Hamilton secured his third world title
but there are still three rounds to go in the 2015 Formula
1 season and this weekend sees the return of the Mexican
GP to the calendar. The last time F1 raced at the
Autódromo Hermanos Rodríguez was 23 years ago and another
British world champion, Nigel Mansell, triumphed. The
circuit has changed since but Hamilton will hope he
continues the British success in Mexico City.

Premier League Week 10 Preview |
1:43 PM ET on 10/23/15 by Nathan Susanto |
Congrats to Andrew Maher, who top-scored in week
9 of Premier League Pickem with 32 points. Steve
Steffy's 30 points earned him the runners-up spot, while
Tom Vobejda, David Cords (both 26) and Skip Wilson (25)
rounded out the top 5. The leading five members all logged
the most correct picks (7), while Maher, Steffy and Dario
Ambrozewiez predicted the most perfect games (2).
Week 9's average per pick made was 2.226 points, ranking
second behind week 5's benchmark. There was universal
agreement that Arsenal would beat Watford and Manchester
City would defeat Bournemouth and the Gunners and Citizens
didn't let down their backers. The Arsenal at Watford
fixture yielded a week high 2.19 points average, while
Aston Villa at Chelsea (2.06) was the only other game to
break the 2-points average barrier. Meanwhile, Stoke at
Swansea produced a week-low 0.33 points average, with Brad
Duff the only participant to correctly select a Stoke
victory.
Andrew Maher's week win strengthened his position at the
top of the overall
standings. Through nine weeks, Maher has accumulated
215 points, the only participant so far to break the
200-point barrier. Dario Ambrozewiez sits in second place
on 192 points, with Skip Wilson (190) in third and Steve
Steffy and George Brady (both 189) tied in fourth.
There are two big derbies in week 10 at either end of the
current league standings. At the top, league leaders
Manchester City take on third-placed Manchester United;
while at the foot of the table, Newcastle (18th) make the
short trip to last-placed Sunderland.
Remember to make your Premier
League Pickem predictions before the deadline of
each game. Week
10's schedule begins on Saturday with five 10
AM ET kickoffs, followed by a 12:30 PM ET game. Sunday has
four fixtures, the first beginning at 8 AM ET; there are
two 10:05 AM ET matches and the slate is completed by a
12:15 PM ET encounter.

Fantasy Formula 1 - United States GP Preview |
4:36 PM ET on 10/20/15 by Nathan Susanto |
Circuit of the Americas in Austin will host round 16 of
the 2015 Formula 1 season this weekend. Lewis Hamilton has
the opportunity to secure the title in the United States
having extended his championship lead to 66 points with
four races to go. The two-time champion will clinch his
third world crown if he outscores Sebastian Vettel by nine
points and Nico Rosberg by two points.
Nico Rosberg stormed to pole position in 2014 and after an
early safety car period the race was a battle between him
and teammate Lewis Hamilton. Little separated the two
Mercedes until Hamilton pounced on lap 24 to take the
lead. He gradually pulled away from Rosberg and took the
checkered flag ahead of the sister Silver Arrow. Over 20
seconds down the road, Daniel Ricciardo held off Felipe
Massa for the final podium spot.

Fantasy Formula 1 - Russian GP Preview |
3:50 PM ET on 10/5/15 by Nathan Susanto |
Round 15 of the 2015 Formula 1 season takes place this
weekend at Sochi, Russia. Last time out in Japan, Lewis
Hamilton secured a dominant victory to increase his
championship lead over Nico Rosberg, who finished second
at Suzuka, to 48 points with five races remaining.
In the inaugural F1 Russian GP last year, Lewis Hamilton
secured pole ahead of Nico Rosberg. On race day, Hamilton
got a good start but on the long run to turn two Rosberg
pulled alongside his teammate. However, Rosberg went in
too hot and overshot the corner. He had to cede the
position to Hamilton and the Brit was never headed from
then on. Rosberg had to pit at the end of lap one due to
flat-spotting his tires, but he fought his way back up the
field to take second, with Valtteri Bottas finishing
third.

Fantasy Formula 1 - Japanese GP Preview |
11:02 AM ET on 9/23/15 by Nathan Susanto |
The Asian swing continues with round 14 of the 2015
Formula 1 season taking place in Japan this weekend. Last
weekend, Sebastian Vettel produced a masterful display in
Singapore to remind Mercedes he's still in the title hunt.
Meanwhile, championship leader Lewis Hamilton suffered his
first retirement of the year and the Silver Arrows were
surprisingly off the pace throughout the weekend.
Lewis Hamilton took the 2014 Japanese GP ahead of teammate
and polesitter Nico Rosberg, with Sebastian Vettel
completing the podium, but the race was overshadowed by
the accident of Jules Bianchi, who aquaplaned off the wet
track into a recovery vehicle. Bianchi eventually
succumbed to his head injuries nine months after the
event.

Andrew Maher (31) and Mark Yothers (30) were the other

secured three perfect games.
Week 5's average per pick made was 2.339 points, creating
a new benchmark for the season. The fixture the
participants agreed upon the most was Manchester City at
Crystal Palace, with just one person not backing City.
However, the match with the best yield was Tottenham at
Sunderland, with the fixture giving up a 2.06 points
average. Chelsea's defeat at Everton drew the lowest
points average, with the game garnering just 0.56 points
on average.
Andrew Maher has returned to the top of the overall standings. With five weeks in the books, Maher has
amassed 121 points, with Joe Hiegel and Mark Yothers ten

notched the most perfect games (10).
In week 6, champions Chelsea hope to get back to winning
ways when they entertain Arsenal. Meanwhile, current
leaders Manchester City's quest to maintain their 100%
winning start to the campaign continues against West Ham.

Fantasy Formula 1 - Singapore GP Preview |
9:49 AM ET on 9/15/15 by Nathan Susanto |
We head back out to the Far East with round 13 of the 2015
Formula 1 season taking place in Singapore this weekend.
Lewis Hamilton took a huge step towards retaining his
world title with another victory in Italy last time out.
Meanwhile, his closest challenger, Nico Rosberg, saw his
Mercedes go up in smoke in the closing stages, which means
Hamilton now has a 53-point lead with seven races
remaining.
In 2014, Lewis Hamilton edged out Nico Rosberg in
qualifying but we were denied a Singapore shootout between
the championship rivals when Rosberg's Silver Arrow
suffered electrical problems before the formation lap.
Predictably, Hamilton took charge of the race ahead of the
Red Bulls; though Sebastian Vettel beat Daniel Ricciardo
into turn one. A Hamilton procession was halted by a
safety car, however, with about half the race to go. Upon
the restart, the Mercedes pilot pumped in a succession of
fast laps and although he came out of the pits behind
Vettel after his final stop, Hamilton quickly got past the
Red Bull to take the checkered flag, with Vettel and
Ricciardo rounding out the podium.

ET, when qualifying begins. Here we run down some
Singapore GP facts and season stats.
